With so many approved additives to wine, the movement to require mandatory labeling of everything that's in the bottle besides grapes is gaining steam. But it sure could have helped out Ludwig van Beethoven way back in the18th century when he first started to report hearing loss. Because his deafness could have been caused by lead used to punch up the flavor of the cheap wine he enjoyed. This is the finding of a study published in Laryngoscope and reported on by The Academic Wino.
