The first born, high-end cuvee, based on dominant Syrah (90%), supplemented by Grenache. Manual harvesting. Raised in 500-liter barrels These two great red grapes from the south give Chateau de Rieux a surprising complexity and balance. Concentrated wine, with aromas of black fruit with a touch of violet. Wood is present but not dominant. The wine begins to really develop all its characteristics and aromas. Rich and harmonious mouth of great intensity. The tannins are more and more melted. The finish is long with spicy notes, peppery, typical to the grape variety.
