Domaine Barnier Vacqueyras 2011

Domaine Barnier Vacqueyras 2011

Recommended in Lettie Teague's Wall Street Journal feature "A French Wine Star's Under-Sipped Understudy" on November 14th, 2013. Only 100 cases imported into the US.

The purity of fruit is striking. Nothing oaky or overly ripe here, just rich fruit, firm structure and refreshingly racy Vacqueyras. There is complexity in spades for the modest price. In its youth it benefits from a good dose of air to let it unwind or it can be aged for several years before opening with great results.
