Domaine de Montvac Vacqueyras Arabesque 2010

Domaine de Montvac Vacqueyras Arabesque 2010

Recommended in Lettie Teague's November 14th column A French Wine Star's "Under-Sipped Understudy," looking at alternatives to Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

Balance in elegance. A balance of flavours, with three complementary varieties: Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. The elegance of a delicate, thoroughbred structure that underscores a continuum of perceptions: presence, then roundness, and persistence. Arabesque reaches maturity from 2-4 years, but can be cellared until 5-8 years, or even longer. A delicate companion for spiced white meats, roasted red meats, and a wide variety of sauced meats such as Daube Provencale and Blanquette de Veau.
