2020 13.5%. Even "villages" level Beaujolais seems to imply a discount, so it's hard to place this wine in terms of price point. Unless, that is, one considers the Foillard holdings, predominantly in Morgon and Fleurie, with other plots scattered throughout the ten crus. Also, in terms of a hot, challenging 2020 vintage, this wine plays lighter and fresher than elegant older sister from the esteemed Cote de Py. Beautiful dark fruit, pretty perfume, enough granite to make this a wine you should probably pay attention to, beguiling as it is. Delicious with pesto, roasted chicken, anything confit-ed.
