Limpid and energetic--if light and somewhat linear--this wine feels more like a gamay, or an alpine red like trousseau. Fresh cherry, wild fennel, a hint of salinity--this clear garnet charmer might not be up to more serious food chores, but it's a satisfying quaff with elegance around the edges.
