After careful fermentation at controlled temperatures, Tenuta Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino is matured for 3 years in French oak barrels. After being aged in wood, the wine is bottle aged for a time, an essential process in guaranteeing the pleasing quality and complex attributes that have made this wine world-famous.
Color: Ruby red color tending to garnet. Aroma: The nose is elegant, calibrated and complex with notes of cherry, raspberry, burnt wood, and liquorice. Taste: It impetuosly invades the mouth with full body and seamless tannins and acidity. The finish is long and shows an excellent freshness that balances the alcohol that is naturally present and connected to the southern exposure of the estate's vineyards.
