A tiny estate in Northern Greece run a father and son team, Domaine Karydas channels the essence of Xinomavro into this classic effort, which leans towards the "feminine" side of the spectrum - at least insofar as Barbaresco can be described that way. That said, don't let its bright ruby hue fool you into thinking the wine lacks stuffing: into its relatively nimble frame it packs a pristine thesis on rose petals and smoke, backed by a grippy smack of tannins.
