NJ Wirra Wirra Scrubby Rise 2015

A Shiraz-dominant blend with 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and just 5% Tempranillo, this wine starts on the quiet side, requiring some vigorous swirling in the glass. Once it opens, plum, raspberry, chocolate, dried herbs and hints of earth and flowers come wafting out. The palate is full figured with a grip of drying, chalky tannins that are tempered by juicy fruit. A balanced wine for drinking young.
