On Eric Asimov's "The Enemy is not Pinot Grigio"

Eric Asimov's January 17th, 2014 New York Times column titled "The Enemy is Not Pinot Grigio,” debated the merits of the popular wine. Pinot Grigio is the best grossing imported white wine in the United States, and a wine that most sommeliers tend to turn their nose up at. Asimov asks “can a wine be too popular?” He argues that most are “cold, wet and nondescript,” though was able to find some “enjoyable, refreshing wines."
