It's normally a figurative expression, but in South Australia, $500,000 worth of wine went literally down the drain. Adelaide Now reports on a collision between a sedan and a truck, the latter carrying 11 tons of wine via a giant bladder that burst on impact. Thankfully, no one was injured. If you are thirsty for details about the contents of the bladder, there are only described as an "expensive white wine".
